Natural Rough Sapphires
R-process has a number of designs that harness the beauty of precious stones. Remy uses rough sapphires sourced ethically from Queensland and Tasmania. Blue is the most common colour for sapphires, although they do come in a rainbow of colours. A red sapphire is actually what we call a Ruby. These stones have materialised under extreme heat and pressure under the earths crust. The stone is formed out of a mineral called corundum, which is aluminium oxide, and the different colours come from variety of minerals being present during crystallisation.
Blue sapphires are created when Titanium is present in within the corundum rock.
